VVCA – Dual Velocity Voltage Controlled Amplifier (DIY)

This is a do it yourself (DIY) full kit! You can buy an assembled module here.

This kit is designed to be as simple as it can be for the DIY community. The Majella VVCA DIY kit is a perfect starting point for the beginning DIY’er for their DIY journey of building a Eurorack synthesizer. The kit features:

• Through hole components
• Symmetrical printed circuit board layout
• Low part count
• No trimming/tuning required.
• You can never have enough VCA’s

You will only need basic soldering skills and equipment to build this module!

Module description:

You can use the Majella VVCA as a dual VCA for audio and CV signals. The VVCA features:

• Dual VCA with velocity control voltage input
• Design focussing on performance, sound and sustainability
• High quality solvent and scratch resistant Aluminium front panel
• High quality long lasting electrical components
• Packed using recycled and re-usable materials

The VVCA features two individual VCA’s. Each VCA behaves just like any other normal VCA when you don’t connect a cable to the velocity input. The velocity input offers velocity control over the CV input level, which means: The output level can be controlled by CV and Velocity.

UPDATE: The VVCA used to be in the need of a +5V supply rail, but you can make it work on +-12V as well! Please see the VVCA DIY manual!
